The Johnson Family
The biggest cleaning products suppliers is also the oldest family business in the US. Samuel Curtis Johnson bought from the Racine Hardware Manufacturing Company their parquet flooring division. Renamed it S. C. Johnson and focused initially on selling just the parquet flooring before offering more floor care products like the ever-popular Johnson’s Prepared Wax. Over the years, the company has ballooned, acquiring other popular brands like ZipLoc, Windex, Pledge, and Glade. The family owned company is estimated to be worth $18.2 billion.
