Margo Dydek was a female Polish basketball player who played center for several WNBA teams, including the Los Angeles Sparks, Connecticut Sun, San Antonio Silver Stars, and the Utah Starzz. She was recognized as a WNBA All-Star twice, once in 2003 and again in 2006. She was 7 feet 2 inches tall and weighed over 220 pounds. After playing for the WNBA, she served as a coach for the Queensland Basketball League’s Northside Wizards. In 2011, Dydek died after experiencing a cardiac arrest while she was pregnant with her third child. She was only 37 years old when she died in Brisbane, Australia.
