The Most Enormous Athletes of All Time

Nikolai Valuev is known for more than sports today since he is a politician, but he once had a great boxing career. He was the world heavyweight champion twice. At 7 feet tall and 328 pounds, he was a force to be reckoned with in the ring. He suffers from a combination of gigantism and acromegaly. Acromegaly is a condition where someone continues to produce a lot of extra growth hormones long after production should slow down. The result is disproportionately large features, like large hands, feet, and facial features. In a way, this could have helped Valuev since it could give him a booming low voice and imposing features.
