CC Sabathia is a pitcher for the New York Yankees. Prior to the Yankees, he played for the Cleveland Indians and the Milwaukee Brewers. He was the 2009 American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player, in addition to winning the Warren Spahn Award and being an All-Star several times. At his peak, Sabathia was 300 pounds and 6 feet 7 inches tall. Since then, he has slimmed down quite a bit, in part to help relieve pain in his knee. His career has accumulated many different awards and records, including having his 3,000th strikeout in 2019. He will need knee replacement surgery when he’s done playing baseball.
