Sharran Alexander is a sumo wrestler who is currently a second Kyu grade. She is actually one of the only women to be recognized by the British Sumo Federation. She weighs 448 pounds and is 6 feet tall. Guinness World Records named Alexander as the heaviest sportswoman in 2013. Before entering a TV show contest called Strictly Lady Sumo, she worked as a nanny in London. She started sumo when she was 41 years old. Since then, she has won many international competitions, including defeating Liz Seward in the United States Sumo Open in 2013. She has represented Great Britain at the World Sumo Championships.
