You may know Bill Walton for his work as a TV sportscaster who won an Emmy Award back in 1991, but the former professional basketball player is known for being extremely intelligent and inquisitive. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Boston Celtics during a long playing career that took a toll on his body, particularly his feet and ankles. But after retirement, he continues to put his mind to good use. He attended UCLA and Stanford Law School in California. He reads many books and is well-spoken. Reportedly he is able to discuss a wide range of topics, including music – he’s a big Grateful Dead fan – and literature.
