Edith Fore rose to fame as the original older woman — who actually has a name, Mrs. Fletcher; who knew? — in those “I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up” commercials. After she died in 1997, she was replaced first by Dorothy McHugh, and later by Bea Marcus.
